This is my review on the
Stan & Ollie movie based on Laurel & Hardy life story

No. 02 Cinema

About:
With their golden era long behind them, Laurel and Hardy embark on a variety hall tour of Britain. Despite the pressures of a hectic schedule, the pair’s love of performing, as well as for each other, endures as they secure their place in the hearts of their adoring public.

Review:
Growing up with an older brother who loved Laurel & Hardy it was hard not to watch their classic comedy movies ten times over, at the same time it was impossible not to enjoy them too.
So it only seemed right to treat my big brother to a trip to the cinema to watch he’s comedy hero’s life story on the silver screen.
We both watched in ore as this heart warming funny story come to life.
Steve Coogan (Stan) and John C. Reilly (Ollie) absolutely nailed their roles to the point I completely forgot I wasn’t watching the real actors playing themselves.
This had all the DNA of the old classic Laurel & Hardy movies and really was a pleasure to watch.

Verdict:
If your a Laurel & Hardy fan your love it.

Review:
4/5

End credits:
Yes (straight away)

Fun facts:
There is a Laurel & Hardy museum in the town of Ulverston (Stan Laurel’s birthplace) in the county of Cumbria in the UK. Stan would occasionally drop in on his parents in between the two wars and both Stan and Ollie visited the town as part of their UK tour of 1953 where they were welcomed by a huge crowd. A bronze statue of the two of them is outside the town hall commemorating this and the museum contains many artifacts of Stan’s career.
