This is my review on the movie Ad Astra 2019

No. 35 Cinema

About:
Astronaut Roy McBride undertakes a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.

Review:
I was hoping I would like this a lot more than I did. Brad Pitt is my favourite actor and I love anything to do with space so as soon as I seen the trailer my expectations was through the roof.
I liked it but didn’t love it, it had moments that I thought was visually stunning but I felt like it was a little too slow for me to fall in love with it.
I was hoping it would be more like Gravity but had the slow pace of Interstellar.

Verdict:
Definitely a marmite movie, your love it or hate it.

Review:
3/5

End credits:
NO

Fun facts:
The title means “to the stars” in Latin. It is often used as a shorthand for “Per Aspera Ad Astra” (Through the hardships to the Stars).
