Movie Review For The Nun showing in cinemas 2018
This is my review on movie The Nun
No.33
About:
A priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
Review:
Always know it’s gonna be a good horror movie when James wan’s names attached, The Nun has been on the cards for some time now. With more jumpy bits then a fat women running down the beach this made a good watch. I’d say it isn’t the best film in the franchise but I did enjoy it.
Good solid storyline with some well timed horror tension.
Verdict: Good film if you like horror
Review: 3.5/5
End Credits: No
Fun facts:
Taissa Farmiga, who played Sister Irene in this film, is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga in real life, who played Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring (2013) and The Conjuring 2 (2016). The Demon Nun, played by Bonnie Aarons, also appeared in The Conjuring 2 (2016). Though the sister’s characters are not at all related to each other, they are both devout Catholics with clairvoyant abilities.
(If you ask me they are missing a trick here and think it would be a great idea if sister Irene is Lorraine’s mum or nan)
